Single Shore Dive - SS Coolidge

Built as a luxury cruise liner and converted into a troop carrier for WWII, The SS President Coolidge sank on the south east coast of Espiritu Santo on October 26th 1942 after hitting friendly mines. 

At over 200m long and over 25m wide, she now rests with her bow at around 18m metres and her stern at 70 metres, only a 5 minute swim out from The Coolidge Resort. Making her one of the largest and most accessible shipwrecks in the world and the perfect playground for all levels of diver.

Packed full of war supplies, such as jeeps, canons, guns, ammunition, medical stores and personal possessions, alongside all of her more luxurious features such as ornate light fittings, mosaic tiling and the famous porcelain statue of ‘The Lady’, The SS President Coolidge offers a unique blend of history not many get to experience. 

So whether you simply want to take in the ship’s sheer size or explore all her nooks and crannies, there are plenty of unique dives available.
